Linn Primary School opened in September 1960 and occupies a site of approximately three acres in the Craigyhill area of Larne. Currently the primary school has three hundred and fifty pupils in fourteen classes and there are fifty-two children in two classes in the nursery unit.
Accommodation includes a main hall which is used for assemblies, P.E., school performances and functions. There are fourteen classrooms in the school, a special needs room and a dining room. Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard and we are delighted that we opened an ICT Suite and library last year. The children also have access to 130 iPads which have numerous education based apps to enhance the learning experience of our pupils. We also have an excellent school meals kitchen.
There are three adjoining playgrounds, an excellent football pitch, a beautiful learning garden, a trim trail and a play park. The surroundings are safe and secure and provide a very pleasant learning environment for the pupils of the school.
